Origin & History

About Us

To cater to the educational needs of the wards of the officers and employees of Airports Authority of India, Ahmedabad and to serve the society in general, Airport School came in to existence in the year 1977. Initially the school was upto IV standard with 140 students & 12 teachers. In 1984 under the Indian Companies Act, Airport School was registered as a non- profit making body. Airport School Association (a body comprising officers & employees of AAI, A’bad) owns the school and manages its affairs through an Executive Committee headed by the Airport Director stationed at S.V.P International Airport, A’bad.
Airport school is a co-educational day school affiliated with CBSE, New Delhi. The school prepares the students for Secondary & Sr. Secondary school certificate examination and the students are from the complete geographic spectrum of India and from all sections of society without any distinctions of caste and creed.
